Linguistic democratization in the world wide web is the key to ensuring that Indians experience the power of computing and the internet. As infrastructural and ecosystem challenges are being met, India’s growing digital literacy also needs to be supported by a multilingual digital world. To make this vision successful,it is imperative that we find new ways in which industry and government bodies can collaborate to create a sustainable ecosystem and develop world-class technologies, FICCI-ILIA in association with Dept. of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka organized a panel session on “Emerging Technology Areas in the Indic Language-Technology Industry” at the 21st Bengaluru Tech Summit on 1st December, 2018 at Bangalore Palace, Bengaluru.
The session was graced by eminent industry speakers who debated on the challenges the industry players face in bringing about language localization experiences to multi-lingual Indians. The attendees discussed at length with the speakers about the several ways in which businesses can collaborate together to develop a knowledge and technology sharing platform for industry to exchange their views and ideas to bring about transformative innovations in the sector.
